Community Fun Day
Community Day will be held on Saturday, October 4th, from 1pm-4pm at the Municipal Complex on Municipal Drive. Rain date will be on Sunday, October 5th. Lumberton businesses are welcome to set up a table, free of charge, to promote their business. We will have games, some rides and live demonstrations, food, roaming characters, face painters, and much more. If you are interested in performing, setting up a table, sponsoring entertainment or volunteering, please call the Recreation Department at 267-3217 or click on the link below for more information and form.
Bring your papers to be shredded, non commercial, free of charge. The Guardian Company has donated their time to shred your papers.

Tennis Demo
Prince Demo Day will be held on October 18th from 1:30-3:30 at the Village Green. Come try out new Prince line of racquets and receive some tennis tips and giveaway items.
Community Yard Sale
We will be having a community yard sale on November 8th from 9am – 12pm at Village Green Park, with a rain date on Sunday. Table space is $20.

Looking for Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to be on the following committees; Halloween Party, Saturday, October 18th from 1-3pm. The Senior Holiday Party,
(1 - 4 pm) or the Tree Lighting, (6 - 7 pm), both events are held on Sunday, December 7th.
Volunteers will be encouraged to help plan and organize the event. If you are interested in being a chairperson of one of these events, please contact the recreation office.

Return Check Policy
There will be a penalty fee of $20 for each program payment check returned by the bank for insufficient funds. To maintain registration in the program, payment must be made in cash to the Recreation Department in the amount of the returned check. Individuals who are penalized once for a returned check will be required to make all future payments for program fees in cash.
Credit Card Refund
All refunds of electronic receipt transactions shall be performed in accordance with all other statutory requirements related to the refunds of monies to local unit. A purchase order/check will be issued for all reimbursements.
Refund Policy
Please read the following statement carefully. Absolutely no exceptions will be made. Prior Withdrawal: Registrants who withdraw prior to the start of a program may be issued a refund only if the Lumberton of Recreation is notified in writing at least two weeks prior to the starting date of the program. No refunds will be granted once a program has begun, this includes practice. A $ 10.00 administrative service charge will be imposed for all refunds granted. It is up to the resident to contact the recreation office in writing, it will not be the responsibility of the coach to inform the recreation office.
Cancellation Policy
Lumberton Recreation reserves the right to cancel any program if there is insufficient enrollment. Dates and times of scheduled programs are subject to change due to circumstances beyond the control of the Recreation Department. Also, additional programs may be scheduled which are not included in this directory. Every effort will be made to keep residents informed of all program changes. Fliers will be distributed in the local schools and notices will appear in the local newspapers.

Lumberton Township Board of Recreation Commissioners
The Lumberton Township Board of Recreation Commissioners is a seven member board appointed by the Mayor and Governing Body that plans, coordinates, and directs recreation activities, programs and special events for Lumberton Township. The purpose of the board is to assist and advise the Governing Body in all parks and recreation matters as established by the Administrative code of the Township of Lumberton.
The Board always welcomes public input. Comments regarding current and future activities are encouraged. To share your ideas, contact the Recreation Office at 267-3217 ext 150, email one of the Board members or plan to attend a Board meeting.
Recreation Commission Meetings
Meetings will be the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. Meeting dates will be April 16, 2008, May 21, 2008, June 18, 2008, July 16, 2008, August 20, 2008, September 17, 2008, October 15, 2008, November 19, 2008 and December 17, 2008. All meetings will be held in the court room.
