Community Fun Day
Community Day is held the first Saturday in October from 1 - 4 pm. Raindate is Sunday. Vendors are welcome. We will have games, inflatable slides, live demonstations, food, roaming characters, face painters and much more. Come join us for a day of fun!
Psycho Trial Hallowen Event
This fall, Lumberton will host all forms of ghouls and spooks on the Psycho Trail. The Psycho Trail will frighten everyone, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings beginning in October at the Village Green Fairgrounds. This attraction is scary and not recommended for those ten and under.
We will need volunteers to make this Halloween event a success. Please contact the Recreation Department at 267-3217 or via email if you are able to help with this event.
Halloween Party
Open to all Lumberton children. The party is will be held October 23, 2010 at F.L. Walther School, from 1pm -3pm. Please come dressed in costumes. The parade begins at 1pm sharp. Music, games & lots of fun.
Volunteers are needed for Friday night from 6:30 - 7:30pm to decorate and for the party on Saturday. Please contact the Recreation Department for more info.
Senior Holiday Party
Come join us for our Annnual Holiday Party on Sunday, December 5th from 1 - 3 pm.This event is held at the Lumberton Middle School cafeteria. There will be entertainment, food and fun for all.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
Our Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 5th from 6:00 - 7:00pm at the Municipal Building. Entertainment and light refreshments.
Father-Daughter Sweetheart Dance - Tickets for Saturday are sold out. There are still tickets available for Sunday. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list for Saturday please contact our office.
Based first and foremost on safety, the predicted weather, the recreation department and dance committee coordinator have made the decision to postpone the dance. The new date will be Saturday March 13th and Sunday March 14th. You will still be listed on the Saturday night or Sunday night that was originally requested. If you are unable to make the new dates, please contact the recreation department for refund or credit arrangements. Thank you and we hope you have an enjoyable warm safe weekend. Egg Hunt
Open to Lumberton children ages 1 - 8. This event will take place at the Village Green on March 27, 2010 at 12:00pm for ages 1 and 2, and 12:15 for ages 3 and up. Bring a basket!
Volunteers are needed to help stuff eggs and hide eggs.
Flashlight Egg Hunt
Open to Lumberton children in 3rd thru 8th grade. This event will take place at the Village Green on April 1, 2010 at 8:30pm. Don't forget your flashlight!
